Panic Away and Phobias

Phobias can make life and work difficult for those who suffer from them, even if they are quite common ones such as fear of flying, of heights or enclosed spaces.  The phobic person may not have any idea the reason they have these fears or what causes them, only that they prevent them from leading a full life.

People with a phobia of spiders – one of the most common fears – may not be able to enter a room without looking carefully all over the walls and ceiling and behind furniture.  People with agoraphobia – fear of open spaces – may be unable in extreme cases to leave their homes, while claustrophobics may have the opposite problem and be unable to get into small rooms, elevators, and walk-in closets.

All these conditions can cause panic attacks, says Barry McDonagh, creator of the panic away method for stopping panic and anxiety attacks, and can stop your life in its tracks.  His system, available as a book and discs or as an online download, shows sufferers how to recognize the early signs and stop a panic attack.
